[14:52:59] WinMain entry OK, old WinMain: 0086A850
    [14:52:59] Loading 'nvmp.dll' into process...
[14:52:59] [ERROR] nvmp.dll failed to load with error code: 126

This is all I've dealt with for the last several months. I've reinstalled my entire OS (Windows 10) tried different OS's (Windows 7) reinstalled Fallout stock several times, disabled every firewall and antivirus, added every file to my exclusion list, and conducted ancient exorcism rituals. No change.

Narrowed it down to two things.

    1) Somehow, Windows Firewall is still blocking nvmp.dll

    2) My AMD ATI Radeon HD 4200 software is somehow mucking things up (found
someone that had a AMD issue)

Anyone have any recommendations for what I should do from here? I've overcome some pretty tough bugs and am not utterly illiterate in terms of testing, but this has got me beat. If I can't fix this I can no longer be part of the community that has been in my life now for almost a year.

    Have pity.

What arch? 32-bit or 64? Any language packs installed? Whats your full path to Fallout: New Vegas? (ie. C:/Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout New Vegas/)

Try moving fallout out of the default install location. Sometimes the game has a problem running if stored in Windows protected locations such as program files.

I'll have a look into it further and let you know as soon as I figure it out. If you could post the specs of your machine, either in text file or image that would help me investigate further. Either DxDiag in start or downloading Speccy will do the job.

    On an update to this:
I've made some changed to the .DLL injection routine, but I'm not too sure if this will resolve your problem. NV:MP 1.4.0 has been pushed to the launcher, it should be live within 20 minutes from this post and should include the .DLL load changes.

If you find that launching still doesn't help, I'd like you to run through this check-list:
    • Does vanilla Fallout: New Vegas run fine?
    • Validate these files exist (where paths in square brackets may differ depending on your Windows/Steam installation):
      • [C:\windows\system32]\WS2_32.DLL (Windows component, should not be missing)
      • [C:\windows\system32]\WINMM.DLL (Windows component, should not be missing)
      • [C:\windows\system32]\D3DX9_43.DLL (DirectX 9, if missing download this. FO:NV should automatically install this anyway)
      • [C:\windows\system32]\SHLWAPI.DLL (Windows component, should not be missing but if it is make sure to check Windows update)
      • [C:\steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas]\AWESOMIUM.DLL (NV:MP component, if missing click Repair on launcher)
      • [C:\windows\system32]\MSVCP140.DLL (NV:MP VC++2015 redist component, if missing you can find it in your New Vegas folder under RedistMP)
      • [C:\windows\system32]\VCRUNTIME140.DLL (Same as above)
    • This is tedious, but will find any missing .DLL components:
      • Download dependency walker from here: http://www.dependencywalker.com/ (Version 2.2.6 for x86) and extract it to a suitable location.
      • Run Dependency Walker and open the file "nvmp.dll" in your Fallout: New Vegas folder
      • Press "CTRL+W" which will collapse the view, and then expand "NVMP.DLL".
      • Disregard any of the top-level "API-MS-WIN*" paths. You should see something similar to this:

Let me know if there's anything different in your list to mine.
