    Hi,
    i am a huge fan of Fallout and this MP-Mod is very promising!
    But several things bug me very hard.

    1.
    How can you deactivate the chat? The chat takes up A QUARTER of the screen and its suuuuper annoying.

    2. How can you change the resolution? It looks like PS 1 Resolution...

    3. Why is there almost noone in goodsprings? What sense does an RPG make without quests?

    4. I cannot heal limbs. Any reasons why?

    I searched the weg and also the FAQ but didnt find any information about this topic.

    1. You can indeed deactivate the chat but I'd suggest against it. The chat allows you to use important commands like /save, /players and /Goodsprings. None the less, to change the chat you need to find a file in Fallout New Vegas' Directory called 'Client'.

    My Computer > Windows (C: )> Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Fallout New Vegas

    You can open this file in notepad, find the section reading below, and turn turn the 1 on 'Enabled=1' to 0. This will disable the chat.
    [Chat]
    Enabled=1
    ShowPlayerMessages=1
    ShowWhisperMessages=1
    ShowSystemMessages=1
    Anchor=bl
    PositionX=40
    PositionY=140
    Width=550
    Height=320

    Alternatively, you can just edit the Width, height and position in the chat section on the client file so that it's not so big.

    2. You can open the Fallout New Vegas Launcher up in Steam if that's what you're using, and use options to change the resolution there.

    3. People are quite often spread, going about their own business, beyond that Goodsprings can cause crashes for quite a lot of people. People tend to use it as a meet-up point. That and using /Goodsprings command to teleport away from Deathclaws.
    I believe most quest NPC's were disabled due to them causing bugs.

    4. Hard-core mode has been implemented, stimpacks as of such don't heal limbs. There's a doctors bag at Doc Mitchell's house near the bed you wake up on at the start of the game. There's also 2 hydra (chem that restores limb condition) in Nevada Highway Patrol station, on a desk in front of the jail cells.

    Thank you so much!
    I was so disappointed that i stopped playing after a couuple of minutes.
    But that sounds good. Does that mean that ONLY NPCs in Goodsprings are deactivated?

    Thanks again!!!

    This mod is dead as an FYI, don’t expect bug fixes for minor things and such

    Considering that the quest NPCs consistently crash players and cause various assignment errors associated with multiplayer, it is the best course of action to remove the quests until those issues can be hashed out.

    (It stems from a lot of complex ID assignment, position and cell synchronization and various other issues.)

    Your loss Kertze, in the end, there's a lot more to do than the NPC quests in this game though. It's not really dead though, albeit updates aren't frequent by any standards enough people get on to keep it interesting.

    I dont know what to believe tbh. One tells me this mod is dead, the other tells me it's getting updates....
    But you are right, I didnt think of mobs, traders and so on.
    Well, i think i will come back every few months to see if there is any progress.
