Please make sure you meet the requirements for the NV:MP launcher before meeting the requirements to launch the game. System Requirements Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 x86 This can also be found in the folder "Steam / steamapps / common / Fallout New Vegas / RedistsMP" OS: Either Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 Persistent internet connection (ports 1337, 8080 and 80 should be open on NAT) A valid player forum account to log into the server A valid Steam account with Fallout: New Vegas (see below) purchased and installed Fallout: New Vegas Requirements Note: NV:MP will only support certain copies of Fallout: New Vegas. The following criteria has to be met, else the launcher will display the error "FO:NV copy invalid (message)": Legitimate Steam copies NV:MP will only support a legitimate copy of FO:NV. You cannot use a disc version, or a copy acquired any other way that isn't via the Steam client. German "no-gore" version You must have a copy of FO:NV that isn't the "no-gore" edition that is distributed in Germany. This version will not work with our modification. Modified "FalloutNV.esm" file If the FalloutNV file is not the same file that came packaged with the game, the launcher will not start NV:MP. Reinstalling FO:NV should replace this file with the original copy if it needs reacquiring. Installation/launching Error Messages Here is every combination of the invalid error message and what each variant means: "missing awesomium.dll" Your installation of NV:MP is invalid or corrupted. Click the repair button and try to reinstall the mod. "missing [Filename]" You're missing a critical file that should be in your FO:NV directory. "dberror for [Filename]" The program has suffered and internal error whilst pre-launch processing. Make a bug report. "fileopen error: [Filename]" The launcher cannot the specified file. Make sure you aren't installing the game currently or that you aren't running an integrity check on the game. Also make sure that FO:NV isn't already running by opening task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC). "invalid file: [Filename]" The file does not meet the correct version that NV:MP needs. You might have an invalid copy of Fallout: New Vegas installed.
