The shift from core being the default gamemode to Hardcore is a mistake. It makes the game unfun and tedious to play. Either make a Core server so that people who don't want to waste time worrying about eating/drinking/sleeping can play the game how they want or release the source code like you promised and let people host their own private servers with their own rules and settings.

If making a new server is either financially or technologically impossible, you should direct your efforts towards creating something to allow players who only want PVE to play PVE; perhaps something to tick on the forums that would link to the game or a way to start the game in PvE Mode from the launcher. Players in this mode would be unable to harm other players or be harmed by other players, and would be set to Core mode. You would be unable to change from PVP to PVE in-game, preventing people losing a firefight in PVP switching instantly to PVE, and maybe some sort of scripting to make it so if you were damaged by another player in the last minute of play before you left or something you are unable to log into PVE (If they alt+f4 for example).

Again, if it's beyond your ability it might be time to release the source code or hunt down someone willing to do this for you.

Hardcore mode is instituted by overwhelming community demand for a method to balance several issues prevalent in PvP combat, such as stim-spamming, health stacking, extremely long lasting battles, and many more.

The EuW server is, and always will be, a freeroam server designed for furthering and testing development with the community, regardless of how fast or how slow that development goes. This means that the server will not be segmented into PvP and PvE, and this also means that there are no plans for multiple servers to be introduced. This would just divide an already small community even further.

It's already a dying game, and I suspect in part because the majority of people don't want to play a watered-down faction-based game in Hardcore mode (which you could achieve much better by playing Rust or ARK), but instead want to play New Vegas with their friends in Core. Again, if there are no plans for multiple servers and the game is already on life support (average of 15 people at any given time out of 75), it would be more prudent to release the Source Code and let people play however they so choose if they have the means.
